It's final - the production duo at C-4 pictures has offered Arnold a sum of money that he couldn't turn down. Now who do you hope takes the director's seat since James Cameron won't have anything to do with the picture?

Currently, they're looking at directors like Ridley Scott [Gladiator], David Fincher [Fight Club], and Emmerich [ID4, Patriot].

Please let it be Fincher! ID4 was hokey, there were some cheese factors in Gladiator, but Fight Club was genuine from front to back - I don't wanna see a hokey, cheesy Arnie! (And hopefully Arnie himself isn't getting just plain too damn old for this stuff. Seen End Of Days recently? Clearly the more lines you give to Schwarzenhymenlicker, the worse the movie gets...

Poor Arnie doesn't often get a good script.

When I think of Fincher and action/sci-fi... I think of Alien 3 *sigh*. Granted - it was his first movie ...

If the script is good - I think Devlin/Emmerich can direct a good Action flick. However, I believe that Ridley Scott's direction can make a lot of good out of an "okay" script. Fincher is still questionable... he has a really average flick under his belt - and a really good one as well.
