ROCK ON. I'm so glad there was hype that X-Men was gonna "suck" cuz it got my hopes down and put me in a better position to thoroughly enjoy a KICK ASS flick. I love seeing comic characters from my youth come to life on the big screen. Though I do think it's silly that X-Men was promoted as the "most popular Marvel comic of the 90's" as if it weren't th most popular Marvel comic EVER, let alone just the 90's - it didn't start there...great effects, killer costumes, though it will take some investigation to find out whether the film followed the original character introductions and such of the comic story to the T. The film leaves off with a nice, open end which might one day prompt a sequel (yay!). Personally, Wolverine has always been my favorite character, and I was glad to see that his role was central to the story where the other characters played second. Hugh Jackman looked and acted killer for the part! Okay, enough spouting..

If you watch closely throughout the film - you'll see that there are quite a few additional superhereos lurking ... such as Iceman and Torch (I think that was his name) and a few others.- mf |
