Random Poll: Just how big is big momma?

    a) Big momma is so big, she can get group insurance rates.
    b) Big momma is so big, she gets clothes in three sizes: extra large, jumbo and oh-my-god-it's-coming-towards-us!
    c) Big momma is so big, when she gets on the scale it says 'to be continued.'
    d) Actually, big momma is so big, when she gets on the scale it says 'One at a time, please!'
    e) Hey... uh - the movie is about 'Big Momma' not 'Yo Mama'. Get your head out of the toilet.

I think it really depends on your taste for movies ...

But, I'd have to say that 'Das Boot' COMPLETELY BLOWS 'U-571' out of the water.

    No contest.

I also picked up this title because I enjoyed it - yeah the DTS track is pretty sharp - though the second time through the film, I began findig various bits of it rather pretentious - pieces of dialog ripped from other films - exagerated, awkward moments of silence that really didn't seem genuinely heart-felt compassion for brethren - I found Das Boot to be a far more compelling story with REAL people, and every bit as suspenseful - (not to mention the whole controversial nature of the false basis on which U-571 was formed - that the U.S. Navy retrieved the encoding machine when it was really the U.K.)

There is a cool documentary on the disc about the history of that encoding machine, BTW.. check it out!

Good to know Ron. I've not yet seen either one but I've been wanting to, They're on my list.

The Hunt For Red October is another great one, Sean Connery does a good job and there is some good intregue as well as action. Crimson Tide is cool too.
