Latest rumors on Star Wars DVDs -Original Trilogy: Lucas wants to have the time to sit down and work on these. His schedule has him going back and forth between writing scripts and then working on the actual production of the new Star Wars films. At this rate, he won't be free to work on the DVD's until 2005-2006 - exactly what was rumored some time back by the producer of Star Wars: Episode 1. Star Wars (Episode 1): Some people believe this film is on its way to DVD within the next few months, quite possibly before Christmas, but if that happens - it will be a big surprise. Unlikely scenario. It's quite possible that none of these movies hit DVD until ALL the movies are done and ready. Yet - this would be unlike Lucas who likes to take good advantage of technology and release his Star Wars movies as many times as he see's fit. Look at his nifty releases to Laser Disc and his continued bombardment of VHS. When asking reps at Fox about 'Star Wars', their opinion from a meeting two weeks ago was 'no comment'. - Marc
