Reverse Spiral Dual Layer - (R-S-D-L) -

(RSDL)The technical term for a dual-layered DVD which contains data in an OTP layout. This type of disc contains two layers of data. Once the first layer of the disc has been read, the laser pickup is refocused to read the second layer by scanning the opposite direction which, when the direction of rotation remains unchanged, creates an opposite spiral of the first layer, and hence the name "Reverse Spiral".
