here's my thing: I've heard that Lucas has no intention of EVER releasing SW trilogy in its original release, ever EVER again! What a sad day! The ORIGINAL is the Star Wars I grew up to love! The SE came out, sure it was the same movie.. but it WASN'T! There were cheeseball computer effects, and scenes that were just out of place! Mr. Lucas, no disrespect, but the movies were far more genuine with high quality actors and prosthetic/polymer aliens. Computer-generated creatures are OBVIOUSLY computer generated and are detached from the scene. They are a distraction from a movie that originally grabbed my imagination. Now all I can do is cringe at the thought that I may have to preserve my VHS tapes of SW Original release for all eternity! Please please PLEASE release the original version! Releasing SE is fine too, but just remember: you did not get a whole new wave of fans from the SE. you just pleased or dismayed some of the OLD fans. WE are the ones you want to keep happy. Enough said.
