Movie Summary:
[TV Classics, Western]
One of television's long-running westerns, "Bonanza" was the archetype of the "property" western that dominated the genre during the '60s. Set in Virginia Sity, Nevada, it told the story of the Cartwrights, owners of a nearly 600,000 acre ranch, The Ponderosa, named for the ponderosa pines growing there. Vol. 1 - Desert Justice (#23): Dave, one of Ben's ranch hands, is accused of murdering the wife of Marshall Dowd. After the Cartwrights discover that he was beaten while in jail, they decide to accompany him to Los Angeles where his trial it to be held.
